The full multidisciplinary diagnostic assessment includes an in-depth interview with the parent (s)/ partner using the Autism Diagnostic Interview -Revised (ADI-R), and an assessment of the person presenting with difficulties using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2).  Other assessments including: language, cognitive,  self-esteem, emotional well-being, theory of mind may be carried out at this stage if appropriate. These additional assessments are not included in the price

Following this initial appointment - which takes about 3 to 3.5 hours (whilst the parents are interviewed, the person presenting with difficulties has his/her own assessment in a separate room) - a combined report detailing the information obtained from the interview and assessment is produced.  This will also include recommendations regarding further requirements (such as further assessment, school visit / liaison, referral to other professionals) and suggestions for the implementation of appropriate management strategies.  We pride ourselves on the expedient delivery of reports (usually 1 week after the full assessment).

Assessments for medico-legal cases and the provision of reports/ court attendance are also provided when requested.
